Under a comic mentorship with Ashling Larkin, I begun the creation of a romantic shoujo-inspired comic ‘Hotel Meguro’. I jumped at the chance to elevate this further during a webcomic project during my Masters Course. A tale of Tomoko Watanabe and Manika Sato meeting in their cram school night classes and falling in love in 1980’s Tokyo, mostly through Tomoko’s flashbacks.
